They cited prior fish die‑offs, aerator failures and vandalism (including break‑ins at restroom facilities) as reasons to restrict access until construction and security measures are complete. Staff said they plan to add security cameras as part of park improvements.
Commissioners also reviewed recent bridge replacement work and road surfacing, reported incidents of vandalism that damaged newly finished pavement and discussed grant opportunities to support future projects. Court staff agreed to schedule contractor updates and to include Patman on the Dec. 30 agenda for a formal status report.
