The court approved a burn ban after brief consideration. It also adopted a resolution to close the county self-help center. The court authorized staff to file a waste-management grant application and approved a donation to a Precinct 2 food pantry. Budget corrections for two line items were approved and the court approved presented salary adjustments.
All of these items were presented with motions and carried by the court during the open session. Item 40 was listed as information only and required no action. The court recorded that several items discussed earlier in executive session would be acted on in open session as reflected in the approved motions.
Staff did not offer extensive public debate on these routine items during the session; councilors moved, seconded and recorded votes by voice for each approval.
