During citizen's input at the Nov. 12 Rowlett City Council meeting, Diane Huff of Lakeview Estates told council she has been calling the city for 15 years asking for street repairs on Lakeshore Court, Mark Lane and nearby streets. Huff described the pavement as 'horrific,' said neighbors have reported conditions for years, and recounted inconsistent information about their place on the city's repair list (mentions of being 'number 6', 'number 54' and 'number 7').
The presiding officer told Huff the council could not respond during citizen's input but encouraged her to provide documentation in writing and email citycouncil@rowlett.com so staff could follow up. Huff said she is a longtime resident (41 years), a realtor, and emphasized declining property values related to street conditions.
No council action or formal response was taken during the meeting; staff recorded the comment and were directed to follow up via written channels.
