Commissioners approve replat, accept subdivision road, IT contracts and routine fees

In a series of routine actions the Uvalde County Commissioners approved a set of land-planning and operational items.
The court granted a replat request for Antonio Gama Survey No. 71 to subdivide a 0.39-acre parcel into three 0.13-acre lots to allow the sale of a home; Jennifer Swaddis, the applicants' real-estate broker, said utilities and meters are already separate. The court approved the replat by voice vote.
The court accepted a developer-built road in Bluff Side Subdivision (off County Road 350) after staff confirmed it was built to county specifications and assigned a county road number.
The Valley Rotary Club donated approximately $250 in art supplies to the Uvalde Together Resiliency Center; Jamie Johnson, the center's executive director, requested acceptance and the court approved.
The court also approved three annual IT contracts with HTS covering county-wide managed services ($241,656), a smaller CSCD-managed-services agreement ($29,940), and an Office 365 migration and related maintenance ($83,790). County staff said the contracts are budgeted and will be paid monthly as part of operations.
Finally, the court adopted the optional road-and-bridge vehicle registration fee at $10 per vehicle for 2025 and declined to add the optional $1.50 school crossing fee.
