UVALDE COUNTY — The Uvalde County Commissioners Court opened nominations to fill two upcoming vacancies on the Uvalde County Appraisal District board.
Rosenberg Risa announced she would like to be re‑nominated. Commissioners nominated Steven McNeil and Vicente Gonzalez III as additional candidates. After discussion about nomination procedures and ballot construction, Commissioner Mason moved to nominate all three candidates; Commissioner Abel seconded, and the motion carried.
The court instructed staff to present the three names to the appraisal district for construction of the election ballot. The motion carried without a recorded roll call; the court did not take a separate formal vote to rank or limit nominations at this meeting.
