Wilson County Commissioners approve routine business: investment policy, reappointments, bills and minutes

At its Dec. 9 meeting the Wilson County Commissioners Court approved a slate of routine administrative and financial items.
County Treasurer Christina Moose presented the annual investment policy (dated Nov. 25, 2024), saying "Everything's the same as last year" and that the policy had been reviewed by the assistant county attorney. Commissioner Martin moved to approve the policy; the motion passed unanimously.
The court reappointed members to the Emergency Services District boards: Quentin Kielbasa, Monica Salinas and Gary Ullman to ESD 1 (two-year terms) and Eddie Callender, Carlos Salazar and Ray Skaggs to ESD 3 (two-year terms). Present appointees were sworn in by the court where available.
Genevieve Martinez, county clerk, presented the commissioner court minutes for November; commissioners moved and approved the minutes after noting a typographical name error that staff said they would correct. The county auditor presented vendor payments totaling $601,931.62; the court voted to approve payment of the bills.
With routine business complete, a motion to adjourn was made and the court adjourned at 9:58 a.m.
