Commissioners approve five-year renewal for county records system with GovOS

Wilson County Commissioners on Nov. 25 approved a five-year renewal of the county clerk's contract with GovOS (the Vanguard records system), the county clerk said.
County Clerk Genevieve Martinez told the court the county has used GovOS (formerly cofile) for five years and the system also handled preservation services. Commissioner Aiken moved to accept the contract as provided; Commissioner King seconded the motion and the court approved it by voice vote.
County Clerk Martinez noted staff review of the contract and invited questions; after the vote she reminded commissioners about a departmental gathering after court and that an employee is leaving the clerk's office this week.
The renewal continues the county's current cloud records arrangement; no dollar amount for the renewal was provided in the meeting record.
