Wilson County Commissioners on Nov. 25 approved the reappointment of Bill Gleason, Sherry Demmer and Joe Rodriguez to the Board of Commissioners for Emergency Services District No. 4 and administered an oath to one of the appointees.
Commissioner Martin moved to reappoint the three members and Commissioner King seconded the motion. The court approved the reappointments by voice vote; the judge then administered the oath and Bill Gleeson (identified in the record) said, "I do solemnly swear or affirm that I will faithfully execute the duties of the office of commissioner ESD number 4..." as part of the swearing-in.
The reappointments were presented as routine renewals; commissioners offered praise for the experience and long service of commissioners such as Gleason, with one commissioner noting Gleason taught emergency care classes and has long ties to local emergency services. The court asked the new appointees to complete required paperwork following the vote.
No separate conditions or amendments to the reappointments were recorded. The court moved on to other agenda items after swearing in and administrative completion.
