Summary

At its Sept. 10 meeting the Rutland Select Board approved a series of routine administrative items.
- Minutes: The board voted to accept the minutes of the Aug. 27 regular meeting; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
- Fire Department personnel and equipment: The board approved the application of a new firefighter candidate (Ethan Anderson) after the department completed background checks. The board also approved the sale of a 1993 Ford F-350 pickup to Fire Chief Chris Clark "as per our pre determined price and arrangement." The motion to sell the pickup was made and carried unanimously.
- Contracts: The board approved an amended contract with Stantec for the sidewalk project and authorized the chair to sign the amendment and related paperwork.
- Personnel action: After an executive session to discuss personnel matters, the board voted unanimously to authorize the police department to extend an offer of employment to a candidate identified by the department, in conformance with the town personnel policy.
