The commission planned a public-service announcement to remind residents about snow-shoveling responsibilities and accessibility during winter. Commissioners said the East Hampton script largely fits Northampton’s needs and can be adapted by replacing place names and adding local footage.
Jenna Perna Elias and Sydney Meininger described a plan to record several local voiceovers to emphasize that snow clearing is a community effort. They discussed using existing footage or filming new material for future years, taking stills for social posts and coordinating posting through the city’s communications channels or Northampton Open Media. Court Klein and other volunteers offered to contact Open Media and city archives to arrange studio time and production assistance.
Commissioners agreed to recruit volunteer voices (several volunteered during the meeting) and to coordinate recording logistics ahead of winter outreach.
