Gonzales County commissioners approve consent agenda, plats and multiple service contracts

The Gonzales County Commissioners Court approved routine minutes and financial reports, granted subdivision exceptions and final plats for Thompsonville Oaks, declared surplus assets, approved maintenance and service agreements and authorized engineering and consultant work; the court also tabled action on unclaimed capital credits pending follow-up.
Gonzales County Commissioners Court met in November and approved a package of routine and project-related measures, including minutes, financial reports, subdivision exceptions and several maintenance and consulting agreements.
The court approved minutes from Nov. 12 and Nov. 18 and received the tax assessor-collector and treasurer's monthly reports. The court also approved the treasurer's affidavit of compliance under Local Government Code section 114(c).
On land-use business, the court approved subdivision exceptions in Precinct 1 that split 69.2 acres into two family tracts and a two-acre split from a 14-acre tract; it also approved a vacate and consolidation creating Lot 236A in the Patriot Ranch subdivision and granted final plats for Thompsonville Oaks Phase 1 and Phase 2 in Precinct 2. County staff confirmed releases of easements where required.
The court declared Attachment A (multiple county vehicles, several with more than 100,000 miles) and Attachment B (assorted sheriff's office equipment, from bumpers to seats) surplus and authorized sale via GovDeals; members also authorized destruction of Attachment B items if no bids are received, in line with Local Government Code procedures.
Two maintenance agreements with Identity Systems for the sheriff's office were approved: one for online/phone technical support and a second for on-site support for the county's ID-badge system. The court also approved a proposal from Southwest Engineering for engineering services on the Gonzales Annex building renovations and additional services from WJE to complete previously discussed work.
The court approved an agreement to secure short-term juvenile detention placements with the San Patricio County Juvenile Services Facility and approved a letter of agreement with CPM Texas to provide facilities-program review and presentations. Several budget amendments were approved and the court approved the bill list.
The meeting record shows most actions passed by voice vote with no roll-call tallies recorded. When votes were taken the court recorded "Aye" and "Motion carries."
