At its Oct. 17 meeting the Gonzales City Council approved several administrative items, including board appointments, an interlocal agreement for cyber liability coverage and the consent agenda.
Council confirmed appointments to advisory bodies under Resolution 2024‑111: Luz Moreno to the Beautification & Design Board; Josh Gray to the Gonzales Economic Development Corporation board; and Kyle Day to the Gonzales Golf Course Advisory Board. Council members approved the appointments by motion.
Staff also presented Resolution 2024‑112 to authorize the mayor to execute an interlocal cyber liability and data breach response agreement with the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool. Staff explained the risk pool now requires a written interlocal agreement for cyber coverage because of an increase in cyber incidents; staff recommended approving the agreement and council passed the resolution by motion.
Finally, the council approved the consent agenda (items 1–7) in a single vote. Council took no further debate on these items during the meeting.
