At the July 9 meeting the City of Bandera council approved Resolution No. 2024‑002 ordering a general election for qualified city voters to elect a mayor and two council members to two‑year terms.
The resolution came to the council from staff; a council member moved to approve and Council Member Flowers seconded. Staff provided packet information and the election calendar, noting the first day to file for a place on the ballot and the drawing and early‑voting dates are in the election packet available at City Hall.
Council noted the specific seats up for election and encouraged interested candidates to pick up filing packets. The motion passed with the recorded outcome 'all in favor, none opposed.'
