Schneider also flagged an ongoing conversation about potential loss of about $3,000,000 in funding tied to a proposed consolidated dispatch, and said he planned to meet with U.S. Rep. Miller to seek directed funding.
On city aesthetics and maintenance, Schneider said the city intends to replace deteriorated concrete planters along Murray Road with resin planters (covered by a 10‑year warranty) and involve the garden club in color/maintenance planning. Director Hitch added that staff will receive safe‑excavation training sponsored by Enbridge to improve crew capabilities.
