The court approved an invoice from Mangold Engineering Company for a commercial septic design related to capital outlay in Precinct 2 after Commissioner Bowen explained the project, noting capital outlay exceeds $50,000 and requires approval. Commissioner Riley reported a $500 check had been turned over to the county treasurer after an on-site check.
Commissioner Riley moved to approve a 1.12-inch lay-flat line request from EOG Resources along County Roads 415–417 for 1.6 miles; the court approved and accepted a $1,000 check as part of the action.
The court considered invoice #1938 from DRG Architects (second draw) for professional services on the medical examiner’s building. A court member asked whether contractors or architects could bring invoices through the committee before coming to the full court. The presiding officer noted that the contract is with the commissioners court and not the committee, but commissioners agreed to amend the motion to make approval contingent on the committee's recommendation; the amended motion carried by voice vote.
Separately, the court approved invoice #1939 from DRG Architects for architectural services related to the Sheriff's Office project using ARPA funds (second draw), and noted upcoming bid dates for the project.
