Atascosa County commissioners approved several land-use and right-of-way items, including a replat and multiple permits, after staff said each application met office requirements.
During a public hearing opened at 9:18 a.m., staff recommended approval of the replat of Lot 47 in Oakview Acres (Praise Drive, Precinct 2 in Poteet); no opposition was offered and the court approved the replat. The court also approved the final plat for Christine Road Acres (Precinct 3) after staff confirmed all requirements had been met.
For permitting, the court approved revisions to the county’s residential driveway permit to make the form more user-friendly and to move signature authority to the permit coordinator. Commissioners also approved a right-of-way permit for McCoy Water Supply Corporation to install water lines on County Road 335, and approved a road board permit for Frontier Communications to install fiber along County Road 438 (a $500 permit fee was turned over to the treasurer). Select Water Solutions LLC was approved to install two 12-inch lay-flat lines spanning 6,164 feet on County Roads 401 and 407 with a $2,000 check turned over to the treasurer.
Staff said applicants met submission requirements and recommended approval in each case. The court moved, seconded and approved all motions by voice vote.
Next steps: Permit coordinator and planning staff to publish the updated driveway permit, file signed plats and notify applicants of approval.
