District compiles community group for strategic-plan sessions; first meeting Sept. 25

Superintendent Holzman updated the board on the district’s "Janesville Way Forward" strategic-plan outreach, saying the district has compiled an organizational list of roughly 85 parents and community members who expressed interest in participating.
He said the first session is scheduled for Sept. 25 at Marshall Middle School and will include a short presentation on the district’s state and goals; he described the sessions as informational and open for board members to observe, and he said no board action will take place at those meetings.
Holzman said the district is considering forming subcommittees and meeting with student stakeholder groups as part of the planning process. He said additional updates will be provided in commissioner reports.
