A request from a range user to add a 60-yard target at the Isanti archery range drew general council support. Staff reported that by moving the berm at the south end the city could convert an existing 50-yard lane to a 60-yard lane without adding concrete, and that the job would take a few hours.
"We wouldn't have to add any concrete," Speaker 7 said, and staff estimated roughly five hours of work to reposition the berm and move the 50-yard target back to 60 yards. Council members agreed there was no rush and asked staff to proceed when operational time allowed.
No formal vote was required; staff will schedule the work during routine maintenance windows and report back if there are unexpected site constraints (tree location and creek alignment were noted as limiting factors).
