Commissioners award multiple 2025 bids for road materials, fuel and services

On fuel procurement, the court approved Coal Distributing as the primary vendor for gasoline and diesel with Suncoast Resources as secondary; commissioners emphasized local delivery reliability and the option to use other suppliers if immediate needs exceed contracted availability (in accordance with purchasing thresholds).
Most awards were approved by voice motion; staff and commissioners discussed vendor availability, delivery logistics and the option to accept multiple primary vendors where availability risk exists. The court also authorized a rebid for an iron-ore gravel item that had no timely bidder.
The court adjourned after completing the bid tabulations and other routine items.
