The Anderson County Commissioners Court approved its consent agenda at its Oct. 21 meeting, enacting listed budget amendments and routine departmental reports.
During the consent agenda, a presenter described a proposed natural gas pipeline route that would cross Anderson County Road 2016 and begin near a gas storage facility in Bethel, Texas. The presenter said the pipeline ‘‘actually started in Anderson County, and it'll come all the way out’’ and offered a map for the court to review. No separate action on the pipeline crossing was taken under the consent agenda; the item was reported for the record.
The court also acknowledged changes to the Child Welfare Board: Ramona Johnson stepped down and Lillian Holly was identified as the board’s new vice president. The East Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse annual contract — described by the clerk as the county’s routine yearly agreement — was included on the consent agenda and approved without separate discussion.
Commissioner Hill moved to approve the consent agenda, Commissioner Mims seconded, and the court voted to enact the items. The court did not record individual roll-call votes; the motion passed by voice vote.
The consent agenda covered routine financial and departmental items; more detailed follow-up would be scheduled if commissioners later removed any item for individual consideration.
