She said the fair finished "slightly in the black" and emphasized rebuilding relationships with 4‑H and local partners.
Planning and Development’s Matt Sango reported the Zoning Department has met 2024 budget goals and that the revenue figure in the packet ($190,000) has been updated to about $230,000. Sango described a recently launched online zoning permit module, ongoing GIS/GPS field data collection improvements and municipal collaborations (Fort Atkinson and Watertown share a GIS technician). He also noted an increase in new cell towers driven by co‑location and leasing disputes.
The board received both reports and had brief exchanges on deferred maintenance, subdivisions affecting housing supply, and assessment and appeal processes for property valuations.
