Wood County Commission approves reimbursement requests for VOCA, JAG and Community Corrections grants

The Wood County Commission on June 17 authorized county officers to sign reimbursement requests and progress reports for three grants covering May 2024.
By motion of James E. Colombo, seconded by David Blair Couch, the commission authorized President David Blair Couch to sign a request for reimbursement for the Victims of Crime Assistance (VOCA) grant No. 24-VA-076 in the amount of $6,119.66 for May 2024. The minutes state documentation for the VOCA Victims of Crime Advocate grant is on file in the County Administrator’s office (Order A/2966).
The commission also authorized Couch to sign the Request for Reimbursement for the Justice Assistance Grant No. 23-JAG-42 in the amount of $3,161.17 for May 2024; time sheets, a financial recap and the project financial report are to be submitted to the West Virginia Division of Justice and Community Services (Order A/2967).
Finally, the commission authorized Couch to sign the progress report for the Community Corrections Grant No. 24-CC-29 and approved reimbursement in the amount of $42,100.63 for May 2024; supporting financial recap, project financial report and employee time sheets for the Wood County Day Report Center were submitted (Order A/2968).
The minutes list these authorizations as formal orders and indicate supporting documentation is on file or will be submitted as noted.
