Planning commission approves Commander Collision site plan and Gulfview Estates preliminary plat

The Muskego City Planning Commission unanimously approved a building-site/operations plan for Commander Collision & Glass, including a parking expansion and replacement fencing, and approved the Gulfview Estates conservation preliminary plat with more than 50% permanent open space and a developer-built public trail.
At its Feb. 6 meeting, the Muskego City Planning Commission unanimously approved a site plan for Commander Collision & Glass and a preliminary plat for Gulfview Estates.
Staff reported that Commander Collision had taken over the Loomis Road facility and sought to expand on-site parking from 13 stalls to 38. Planning staff said the parking increase raised no immediate concerns and recommended that the applicant replace mixed fencing with a uniform fence to screen three large storage containers; engineering review was to occur during permitting. The commission approved the plan without opposition.
On the Gulfview Estates preliminary plat, staff described a conservation subdivision approach with clustered lots, enhanced stormwater measures and permanent preservation of more than 50% open space. The developer proposed a public trail connecting Boxhorn (north) to Ryan Drive (south); staff said the trail and public infrastructure (roads, water, sewer) would be built at the developer's expense and to standards set by public works and engineering. Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the preliminary plat subject to conditions in the resolution.
Both approvals were recorded by roll call and will proceed to the formal permitting and platting steps required by city code.
