Board narrows sustainability-plan candidates; Energy Innovation grant agreement still in negotiation

On the sustainability plan, staff reported eight firms submitted proposals; the board narrowed the field to five interviewees. The selection process included interviews, reference checks and reviews of prior projects; staff and board members said they were encouraged by the quality of submissions and plan to continue narrowing candidates and checking references before making a recommendation.
No formal contract awards or firm selections were made at this meeting. Staff indicated funding is in place for the sustainability plan work and expects to report further progress at the next board meeting.
Next steps: staff will continue reference checks and interviews, finalize negotiations on the EIGP agreement if possible, and report back to the board in a future meeting.
