Oshkosh Council honors retiring City Manager Mark Roloff

The Oshkosh Common Council paid tribute Dec. 10 to City Manager Mark Roloff, who is leaving the post after a long career in local government. State Representative Lori Palmeri presented a citation from the Wisconsin Legislature recognizing Roloff’s decades of public-service work and his tenure as Oshkosh city manager since 2008. Roloff accepted the recognition and thanked the council and community.
Council members described Roloff’s leadership on local projects and statewide shared-revenue efforts, noting the role his work played in securing increased state support for local governments. Mayor and council members presented Roloff with a key to the city and other commemorative items. "Your tireless work ethic, commitment to public service, and ability to navigate complex challenges have been a true asset to this community," one council member said in introducing the recognition.
Roloff told the council it had been an honor to serve and said he and his family plan to remain in Oshkosh. The ceremony was held at the start of the council’s Dec. 10 meeting before the evening’s regular business.
