The Plan Commission approved a package of items Dec. 3 to facilitate an expansion of the Nissan dealership at 325 Valley Avenue. The owner (MWD Westbend II LLC) requested rezoning of approximately 1.7 acres from B6 Office Park District to B4 General Business and Warehousing; staff recommended approval.
Commission also approved a two‑lot certified survey map and a site plan to demolish the existing building and construct an addition for auto sales/display area. During site plan review commissioners asked about an existing "Welcome to West Bend" sign shown near easements and parking. Staff reviewed the ALTA survey and found the easement and sign locations did not perfectly align; the commission added a condition to the site plan approval directing staff and applicant representatives (Chad and Jim) to work together to preserve the sign and identify a parking/layout solution.
Motions to approve the rezoning, certified survey map and site plan carried by voice vote.
