The West Bend Plan Commission voted Wednesday to approve a conditional use permit that will allow Habitat for Humanity of Washington and Dodge County to build a single‑family home at 341 South Seventh Avenue.
City staff said the proposal was effectively an architectural/zoning compatibility review: the submitted plat of survey conforms to RD2 setback requirements and the proposed building materials (LP siding) and a two‑story design are compatible with surrounding homes. The commission opened and closed the public hearing on the request and approved the motion by voice vote.
Staff noted the lot is a small, legal nonconforming parcel platted in an earlier subdivision; the CUP allows the use change needed for single‑family construction on that lot under current code.
