The West Bend Plan Commission voted July 2 to approve a one-lot certified survey map (CSM) for property owned by the Hartigan Trust at 2600 East Washington Street, allowing the farmstead to be separated from the remaining land.
John introduced the CSM application and staff explained the purpose: isolate the farmhouse from large vacant/farmland in order to sell the remaining parcel to a potential developer. Staff noted adequate right-of-way for Washington and Trenton roads, flagged airport height limitations and an adjacent gas line on the east end, and advised that required technical corrections had already been provided.
A motion to approve the CSM passed after being moved by Jeff and seconded by John Swartz. The transcript records an affirmative voice vote and the motion carried. The approval was conditional on the technical corrections previously submitted; staff indicated those revisions have been satisfied.
The action clears the farmstead for separate ownership and enables marketing or sale of the remaining acreage for potential development consistent with applicable right-of-way and utility constraints.
