Special-education audit to begin this summer with county ESC, board told

The superintendent told the board the district will begin a special-education audit in cooperation with the Camden County Educational Service Center. Staff plan to collect information over the summer, begin family and staff communications in early August, and complete the audit work during the fall semester with recommendations returned to the board in late November or December.
The superintendent said the district had briefly delayed the start to accommodate personnel transitions and to ensure interview committees and staff were available. The audit will assess current special-education practices, identify strengths and weaknesses, and produce recommendations for improvement.
