Fairborn City School Board approves agenda, minutes, budget and superintendent recommendations; honors retiring bus drivers

The Fairborn City School Board approved several routine items Thursday, including the meeting agenda, minutes from July 2 and July 23, budget and finance items, and the superintendent’s administrative recommendations.
The chair opened each consent item, members moved and seconded the motions, and individual votes were recorded by roll call. For the agenda approval, the board recorded affirmative votes from Miss Landon, Mister Steininger, Missus Millard, Missus Webb and Mister Browning; the chair announced the motion carries. The board took similar roll-call votes to approve the minutes and subsequent budget and administrative items.
During consideration of the superintendent’s recommendations, the chair highlighted resignations and retirements in the personnel section (page 9). The district noted three long-serving bus drivers who will be recognized with resolutions: Christopher Mormon (27 years), Benita/Anita Bridal (37 years) and Kermit Regal (35 years).
The board also recorded gifts and donations: Joan Dottel donated $1,000 to the turf fund; Flo Kricki donated $500 to the turf fund; and JKLM franchises contributed $102.98 in opening-day donations. The chair thanked donors for their support.
No contested motions or amendments were recorded during these consent items and the board did not table or postpone any listed approvals.
