Berg said consultants completed a site visit from Suzer Road to State Avenue, making notes on existing conditions and potential improvements and that committee members walked the area with consultants to identify features that could work or need adjustment.
Berg reported that a business planning to open a Mexican takeout at the north end had received its final variance and that the owner — who does not live in Tiverton but owns the building and is engaged in the committee’s work — is expected to open soon. She also noted that Paula Amaral from the board of canvassers will bring historical photos of Tiverton to the committee meeting to inform local‑history context for planning.
The committee said it will continue joint work with the zoning review committee to coordinate pedestrian‑friendly design and main‑street zoning on that stretch of roadway.
