Hopkinton — The Town Council on Dec. 16 voted to postpone awarding the construction bid for the Hopson Richmond Community Center after staff reported the pre-bid process produced addenda and the bid-opening schedule shifted. Staff and the architect have begun interviewing bidders and checking references but asked council for additional time to review due to the project’s financial significance.
Council members noted the contract needs to be executed by the end of the month to secure funding and agreed to meet in a special session on Friday the 20th at 2:00 p.m. to act on the award. The motion to table and set the special meeting carried by roll call.
