Planning staff (Speaker 5) presented rezoning case RZ-190813 and described the proposal and staff recommendation.
"Staff recommends approval of the request to rezone the 1.5 acre portion of the existing parent parcel, known as Parcel 068113003 from Agriculture AG to Rural Residential, RR," Speaker 5 said, describing a 1.53-acre portion to be sold from a larger parent parcel at 489 Hardy Trail. The applicant was identified as Cindy Petty.
Staff said the subject property is surrounded by properties zoned AG and RR and that the county's future land-use map places the parcel in the Marble Hill character area, which expects low-density uses consistent with the requested RR designation. The planning commission already reviewed the application and voted 4-0 in favor.
No formal board vote occurred at the work session; the board was told the rezoning item will be on the agenda for a formal vote in two weeks. The staff presentation included the parcel reference (068113003), the address (489 Hardy Trail), and the stated intent to create a saleable lot from the parent parcel.
