Speaker 1 said initial contractor conversations suggested the waterline work could take months depending on rock conditions and that the county aims to begin waterline work in spring and paving in summer to limit impacts to school bus traffic.
Speaker 1 estimated the combined waterline and paving work could fall in a $2.4–$2.8 million range and said bid packages will be prepared so the county can move quickly next year. He said the county will evaluate durable pipe options to avoid recurring failures and that the project has been deferred for many years.
