Peachtree City council approved multiple procurement and contract actions at the Oct. 3 meeting, including two SPLOST‑funded equipment purchases for emergency medical services and a change in actuarial services for the city pension plan.
Council voted to authorize an upfront Stryker ProCare purchase for ambulance equipment in the amount of $56,586.22 to avoid expected price increases. A separate purchase—three LifePak monitors and related equipment—was approved for $221,106.12, also funded through SPLOST, with staff explaining the purchases accelerate procurement to lock in current pricing.
On pension administration, staff reported issues with the city’s recently contracted actuarial vendor (CAVMAC) and recommended terminating that services agreement. The council voted to terminate the CAVMAC contract and to approve a new agreement with Foster & Foster Consulting Actuaries for actuarial services and an online member portal at $47,000 annually; staff indicated the cost will be paid from the city’s defined‑benefit pension fund.
The council also announced appointments to the Peachtree City Airport Authority: Beth Fingston (five‑year term), Max Braun (one year), and Steve Haines (alternate). These appointment confirmations were made during approval of the consent agenda.
