Erlanger proclaims Arbor Day; volunteers to plant about 17 trees at Flagship Park

Public Works staff told the council the Arbor Day celebration will take place Saturday at Flagship Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., including giveaways, lunch, a tree‑planting demonstration and volunteer tree planting; staff said they plan to add about 17 trees along the hillside at the park entrance to replace undergrowth cleared earlier in the year. "We're going to add about 17 trees to that hillside," Public Works staff said.
Council encouraged residents to participate and thanked Public Works and volunteers for organizing the event.
What’s next: The Arbor Day event is scheduled for the coming Saturday; volunteers and attendees were invited to meet at Flagship Park.
