The Erlanger City Council convened its Dec. 3 regular meeting and approved procedural business, including the minutes from a Nov. 19 special meeting and the nights agenda, both adopted by voice vote.
The meeting was called to order by the presiding officer, who invited an invocation from a representative of Calvary Chapel of Northern Kentucky. After the pledge of allegiance, the presiding officer conducted roll call; several council members answered "Present" or "Here" when called by name, including Miss Nisley and Mister Cahill. The presiding officer also announced that Councilwoman Vicki Kyle, who has served 28 years on the council, would miss her final meeting because her husband, Joe Kyle, is in the hospital and asked attendees to keep the family in their prayers.
On routine business, the council had received the minutes for the Nov. 19, 2024 special council meeting and, seeing no requested corrections, the presiding officer asked for a motion to adopt. The motion was called, and the body approved the minutes by voice vote. The presiding officer followed the same process for adoption of the evenings agenda; that motion also passed by voice vote.
No recorded roll-call tallies were provided in the transcript; the approvals were announced as "Motion carried" following the voice votes. The meeting then moved to its scheduled special presentations, beginning with a planned appearance by five members of the Lloyd Memorial High School Marching Band.
The council will proceed with its listed agenda items following the presentation.
