The Glynn County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 21 voted unanimously to issue a provisional 2024 alcoholic beverage license to Wawa Southeast LLC d/b/a Wawa 6303 for a location at 4303 New Jessup Highway in Brunswick. The provisional license permits retail package sales of malt beverages and wine, including permitted Sunday sales, and lists Angela Kay Reynolds as the licensee.
Chief Ebner reviewed the applicant’s background information and told commissioners he did not see anything that would preclude approval. "Based on the background application and on the applicant, I don't see anything that would preclude you from approving this alcohol beverage license, commissioners," Chief Ebner said. No members of the public came forward to speak in favor or opposition during the public hearing portion, and commissioners closed the hearing before voting.
The board’s unanimous vote clears the store to move forward with its opening and retail alcohol sales under the provisional license.
