The Tempe Union High School District governing board approved a slate of routine and policy items by unanimous votes during the meeting.
Early in the meeting the board adopted the meeting agenda (motion moved by President Montero and seconded by Vice President James), and later approved the consent agenda items G1 through G9. The board then approved policy items I1 (EBAA: reporting of hazards and warning systems), I2 (EBC: emergencies) and I3 (ECB: buildings and grounds maintenance) on first reading/adoption. Business services items J1 and J2 were also approved.
All recorded motions related to agenda adoption, consent items, policies I1'I3 and business items J1'J2 passed by voice votes reported as 4-0. The board also approved a motion to convene and later exit an executive session earlier in the evening and recessed briefly before reconvening.
