Board directs ASBA delegate to preserve 'at least' language and add SPED to hard‑to‑fill positions

"I don't see the reason to get rid of 'at least', because I think this just having the word 'at least' sets the minimum of what we're asking for," Montero said, and asked Hodge to record a 'no' vote on that change.
Member Steele recommended that ASBA’s line about filling difficult positions include special education instructors in addition to CTE instructors; Member Barraza supported emphasizing SPED given local recruitment challenges. Member Hodge asked for the board’s suggested edits in writing so she could take them to the September delegate assembly.
No formal vote was taken at the meeting; the board provided direction to its delegate.
