The court appointed Jessie Munsey to fill a tourism-board seat left vacant after the death of Stephanie Styles (referred to during the meeting as either Stephanie Styles or Stephanie May). The nomination was moved, seconded and approved with no recorded opposition.
Unidentified Speaker praised County Clerk Susan Skiles for election administration, saying the local process "went off without a hitch," and the court approved payment for election workers.
Personnel actions were bundled and approved: Andrew Chapman will replace Cameron Lindsay at $11 per hour; Katie Skaggs was hired part time in dispatch at $11 per hour (confirmed by Nick); and Austin Horn was moved from part time to full time at $14 per hour. A brief personal remark noted Carla Mooney’s son has been working in the department for a long time and "does a real good job." The motions were seconded and carried.
The court reviewed a claims list (with attachments) and approved a motion to pay the bills, and then approved an appropriations/transfer list. The session concluded with a motion and second to adjourn; the court will reconvene for its regular meeting in December.
