Court members discussed matching percentages for the combined grants: one speaker noted a 5% match from ASG and a 25% match for a USDA grant, and the presiding official said the combined match equated to about 10% of the total for both grants.
"We can't make it in this county without our volunteer fire departments," the presiding official said, thanking volunteers and the fire chief for their work. The court moved, seconded and approved the resolution by voice vote.
The resolution passed at the meeting; no additional conditions or budget amendments were recorded on the floor. The court also noted appreciation for the chief's presence at the meeting and recognition of the department's grant‑writing efforts.
Next step: county staff will execute the resolution and proceed with documentation required to apply the ARPA match to the identified grants.
