Council approves routine licenses, permits, bids and personnel budget adjustments

Key actions included: acceptance of bids for one or more 16×76 mobile homes to house East Bank firefighters during firehouse renovations (money already budgeted; motions passed 8–0); approval of multiple beer and liquor event licenses and renewals by voice vote (8–0); a building permit for Shell Pipeline Company LP to make anomaly repairs on an existing 16‑inch pipeline section (application 2024925) which passed with one abstention (council member recorded); and amendments to the 2024 manpower structure and internal budget recodings in the Permits/Planning & Zoning Department to move existing salary money into professional services to finish a contract year (no new money).
Council members noted these were administrative or housekeeping items; votes were largely unanimous and intended to keep projects and services moving ahead of budget hearings.
