Court approves MOU with Christoval Chamber for cleanup, confirms committee appointments and meeting sites

The Tom Green County Commissioners Court accepted a memorandum of understanding with the Christoval Chamber on Feb. 4 to use a portion of a Concho Valley COG solid waste grant for community cleanup activities.
Commissioner Nanny said the MOU "piggybacks off of the solid waste grant we accepted last week" and described the agreement as allowing reimbursement for roll‑off costs and requiring adherence to county procurement rules. A motion to accept the MOU was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The court also approved committee appointments for 2025, noting internal shifts including an exchange of positions between members Sean and Sammy, the appointment of Rick to the investment advisory role, Bridal Anderson to the computer advisory slot, and adding Crystal Drescher (JJC) to safety/loss control. The court voted to continue the grievance committee structure using elected officials plus three public members drawn from the grand jury pool under Texas Local Government Code §152.014.
Finally, the court designated the Keyes Building as the primary site for Commissioners Court meetings for 2025 and authorized alternate government facilities (city or school facilities) as backup locations with appropriate notice.
