At the July 8 meeting the Nicholasville City Commission approved several personnel appointments.
The mayor proposed reappointing Ray Raven Trainer to the Wilmore/Jessamine County Joint Tourism Commission and reported that the Chamber and the City of Wilmore recommended Tommy Cobb and Dave Prostek, respectively, for reappointment; the commission recorded motions, seconds and a roll-call approval for those three-year terms.
The commission also moved to appoint Jared Cobb to the Nicholasville Housing Authority Board to fill a vacancy. Commissioners noted Jared Cobb was temporarily out of the country but said he had indicated openness to the appointment; the appointment was made by motion, second and roll-call affirmation.
What happens next: appointees will assume their roles for the stated three-year terms once appointment paperwork is completed.
