Parlier council approves subdivision of Adventist Health parcel; staff cites CEQA exemption

The Parlier City Council voted to approve Tentative Parcel Map 2303, splitting assessor's parcel 35504116—currently containing an Adventist Health building and a vacant office—into two parcels.
Assistant City Planner Wyatt Chazinski told the council the site is about 1.87 acres and that the subdivision would create Parcel A (~0.71 acres) and Parcel B (~0.96 acres) while dedicating roughly 0.2 acres to the city. Chazinski said no construction is proposed as part of the map and the project qualifies for a Class 15 categorical exemption under CEQA Guidelines §15315 (minor land divisions).
Following the staff presentation, the council opened and closed the public hearing with no members of the public speaking on the item. A motion to adopt Resolution 2023-54 was made and seconded; the mayor declared the motion carries.
Staff will proceed with final map recording and standard administrative steps to effectuate the subdivision.
