Needles City staff report wastewater operations, street projects and a water-treatment delay

On the water-treatment plant project, staff reported an 8–10 week delay caused by unavailability of SCADA components and said they will use the delay to install a 16-inch intertie while waiting for parts. The projected 10-week delay accounts for upcoming holidays, staff said.
Council and staff also discussed a large unfinished building on Broadway whose building permit remains active; enforcement options are constrained while the permit is valid and the building remains incomplete.
