Anna Scott, from Health and Human Services, told the board the California Children's Services (CCS) plan for FY24-25 reflects program restructuring and an allocation slightly lower than last year (about $4,000 less) tied to current caseloads. Scott said that some prior child-health screening responsibilities have shifted to managed care plans and that allocations for foster-care medical oversight and case management have changed.
Scott requested approval of the CCS plan and a budget amendment to align revenues with the updated allocation; the board voted to approve the plan and the attendant budget amendment by voice vote.
Staff will implement the program changes within existing departmental oversight and report back on any material adjustments.
