Local Transportation Commission elects officers and approves up to $25,000 Caltrans reimbursement agreement

The Local Transportation Commission (LTC), meeting Jan. 14 as the board sat in its LTC capacity, unanimously selected Supervisor Toso as chair and Supervisor Poe as vice chair for 2025. Commissioner Smelkom nominated Toso; the motion was seconded and passed without objection.
The commission then considered the annual Caltrans planning, programming and monitoring (PPM) agreement, which allows the LTC to receive up to $25,000 in reimbursements to support project study reports and monitoring of state-funded county road projects for fiscal year 2024'2025. Jeanne (LTC staff) briefed the commission on the grant's purpose, saying it covers preparation of project study reports, monitoring project implementation and project delivery for state-funded work. "This comes before the Commission every year," Jeanne said.
Commissioner Smelkom moved to approve the agreement; Supervisor Poe seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The commission adjourned and the Board of Supervisors reconvened.
