HSRPC elects officers, hears records-preservation update and forms Gold Rush design-review ad hoc

Staff said they will follow up with Vince and report progress at the next meeting.
On the Gold Rush design-review item — tied to a National Endowment for the Arts grant — the commission selected members for an ad hoc committee to advise on creative placement and review guidelines. Commissioners expressed interest in including a Native American representative, named probable members and agreed to target early-February meeting dates for the ad hoc despite potential meeting-space constraints from the building move.
No formal ordinances, resolutions, or contract awards were voted on at this session. The commission closed with reminders about reapplication forms for commissioners whose terms are expiring and adjourned the meeting.
